Veronica Cooper is Putting Vegas On the Map!

What is your name and what city do you rep?

Hey everyone, my name is Veronica Cooper. I was born in Las Vegas, NV.

Tell us about your latest releases, what inspired you to create them?

My latest single “Sorry Charlie” just dropped in Jan 25th. The song just kinda came to me after I heard some of my ex friends were still bringing my name up in conversation years after friendships have ended.  I wanted something to address it all and honestly apologize if I really had done something wrong. While also making sure that they fully understand why we’re not friends anymore.

What is unique about you and your music?

I think what makes my music unique is that it’s not just sex rap or bad bitch rap. It speaks from everyday situations that many of us can relate to.

What shaped your music?

Honestly I think it’s a mix of my past experiences, how I was raised, my ability to listen to others, and not feeling ashamed to not sound or look like the next artist.

When did you realize you were going to make music professionally?

For a little while I played around with it but I honestly didn’t take it as serious until my mixtape was on the billboards. It was really that moment that really made me go oh my God I really need to take this serious. Don’t get me wrong before that I was having a lot of fun with my friends traveling and creating music but I always had this idea of having a back up plan.  But definitely after the billboards I knew this was plan A thru Z.

What type of music do you listen to?

I listen to a wide range of genres. My current favorite artists are Missy Elliott, Eve, e-40, pink, Jorja Smith, Joyner Locas, and Emani 22.

What inspires you to write music?

Everyday life inspires me. I don’t know if it’s because I’m a Virgo or just a vibe that I give off but people love to talk to me and tell me their stories. Majority of my music was written based on these peoples experiences. Even if I couldn’t 100% relate to the situation I wanted to create some thing that would make them feel like they weren’t alone.

What do you do when you don’t do music (creative or otherwise) and that you are passionate about?

Outside of music I run a nail care company called GldnChldBeauty with my cousin Alexea Davis-Mitchell.  We sale professional nail care items, press-ons, and cuticle oils.  This business venture came out of nowhere and honestly it’s been kinda fun to do.  I also have a few other business ventures in the works which I’ll announce when the time is right!

Happiness to you is…

Family. Without them I don’t even know where I would be in life.

What do you wish you were told when you first started making music that you think would help artists just starting out?

Don’t spend small amounts of money here and there. Save up and make big splashes in order to truly see a return on investment.  Also do your research on everybody before working with someone knew.  This whole industry is a risk so you gotta be open minded but cautious.

Tell us about your upcoming projects...

I just left Icon Studios in Atlanta, GA with some dope music. Just did a track with Hitman Beatz in Vegas. I’m just workin on a series of music to showcase a different side of me.  No titles, no dates, just in my writing mode and when I’m finished I’ll announce it all

Where do we find you music / music projects?

I’m everywhere. It’s not too hard to find me. Veronica Cooper on the platforms and @Iseeyouvee on the socials

Any last words for the readers?

I’m aiming for that number 1 spot. Come join the Coop Camp!
